Oct 5, 2019 @ 3:12pm Oct 5, 2019 | .02: The southern section is now open after a ludicrously long time for a small mudslide, and the MROSD crew has used expensive heavy equipment to "groom" the trail above the slide, presumably to repair the damage the equipment made getting down to the slide, and despite compaction and watering efforts some of the trail is soft and ready to turn into mud, of course they'll close it. Anyway our measure A funds at work once again. One of the switchbacks is so powdery soft it is almost impossible to climb up (it will get better). I could do better work myself, if they'd let me. Still, appreciate the effort made, and the trasil being open, and that it is still the better part of the preserve. Not spoiled altogether. Glad the rest of it wasn't touched. | Dry | view | ||
