There are several causes of trails not showing on the map for a region you have downloaded.
We have had some issues in the past with region downloads, so the first step is to delete the region (state, province or country) the trails are in and re-download that region.
First to delete the offline region data, which contains all the trails, pois and sub-regions follow the below steps.
STEP 1
Go to the apps settings page
STEP 2
Goto downloaded regions
STEP 3
Swipe region item to the left to reveal red "remove" button.
STEP 4
Now re-download the region.
It is also possible the trails were removed from the map or hidden from public view. Trails that are illegal, sensitive are sometimes removed from the public map, but their trail labels can take awhile to update due to caching. So you might be seeing the trail labels still. more info
