May 22, 2022 @ 1:48pm May 22, 2022 | It’s nice and dry with some moist patches, from the bottom up to Sugar Daddy junction. After that, the last bit at the top is a sloppy mess. If you’re climbing, I’d recommend walking it so you don’t tear up the trail. If you’re descending (like we were) just go slow. Traction is extremely sporadic. But yeah, Sugar Daddy to Boundary Ridge junction was great. | Variable | view | |||
May 22, 2022 @ 1:44pm May 22, 2022 | It’s mostly dry… or maybe moist with some light slop in the sheltered parts for the first two thirds. After the little knoll on the climb, the snow appears and it gets a bit sloppier. It’s only about half a centimetre of mud on top, with firm trail underneath. You don’t really loose traction or cut up the trail. After the turnoff for Snakes and Ladders it’s pretty dry. The first descent on Strange Brew is pretty messy, up to the Sugar Daddy junction. Apr 7, 2022 @ 2:19pm Apr 7, 2022 | Hike The first 40-50m of the trail is solid ice, no getting up without Micro spikes on your shoes or studded tires on your bike. The rest of the trail is mostly dry dirt, mud, slush and some ice. I was hiking today but if I were to ride I would have used my fat bike with studded tires.
