Just got off work and only have an hour to ride? Are you an intermediate level rider or better looking for a fun, not overly technical loop in the foothills of the cascades? Wish there was a "Crank it up" type trail here in Washington? Well then THIS is your route

Grind your way up to the top of Upward Mobility, then turn left onto the fire road as soon as you reach the top. Look for the marked trailhead to Poppin' Tops on your left side, descending off of the fire-road.

Detailed Description

Agree with jesperjo - it’s not green at this point. especially at the end of a ride. Chunky and bumpy is the wrong ways.

Can’t really rate this green any more. If you want to ride green trails you may want to stick to Duthie. The braking bumps have turned into massive pot holes in every berm and it’s pretty rough now.

Lower Poppin’ tops is in rough shape. You could almost hide a Volkswagen in some of the braking bumps at this point. Too many people need to learn to use their front brakes properly.

I don't know if it is just me but this reminds me of a great big pump track! It is AMAZING! This might be my favorite trail there!

This trail is really only fun if you are really good at climbing (and I am not the best). I kinda feel like it goes forever. I normally do all of Upward Mobility then Poppin' Tops and Flow state down, and personally I feel like the downhill doesn't balance out the climb. That is my thought on Upward Mobility. Really only fun if you are good at climbing and good with having a short downhill compared to the climbing...

I think the black diamond rating on this trail is responsible for the amount of complaints about CCDH being a blue. But just like CCDH, trail ratings are subjective so all anyone needs to know is that all the more difficult features are optional so it can be ridden as an intermediate if you choose. There's great sight-lines so even on a first run you'll know what you're in for. It's a great way to end your ride after hitting up the rest of the mountain.

If you take this slow, it’s totally doable for a more intermediate rider. You won’t have the fun of those great tabletop jumps, but you’ll manage just fine. Very flowy and fast (if you let it), but less technical than say Joyride in Tiger (which is just a blue)

 Fun but needs some
Maintenance- lots of brake potholes and the berms are pretty blown out.

Skipped the Poppin Tops Upper as it was raining, still great ride with some good jumps, a few potted turns and gnarly pitted transitions, but was still a blast, even on my hard tail.

She’s got the potholes real bad in the berms, but still great dirt most other places.

Perfect temps today with the slightest breeze. Dirt had perfect amount of moisture in it. Most of the berms are all washboard.

One of the best beginner flow trails on the I-90 corridor. Great trail to pump downhill and get your speed fix. There is a fair amount of optional features to keep more advanced riders happy.
