I expect there are more blowdown from where we stopped to the treed ridge near the marmot ponds. A gracious someone had cut the down trees except for one that came down recently which is easy to get around on the uphill side. I did not get above the rock point below the upper trailhead but it looked snow free. I cleared sticks and rocks off the trail so that portion is in good shape. The climb still has snow in some spots and is generally variable conditions (wet and greasy around snow patches), so there's some hike-a-bike involved. Meadows at the top are wet but generally rideable without damage. If you feel like bringing a flat shovel or a whipper tons of lines are just waiting to be added on to this unestablished, tucked away trail location. If you are having trouble finding access or even parking somewhere, you can get in fairly easy just off E 30th Ave and at the first visible trail head, right side on Spring Blvd. prior to reaching the dead end at ribbon trail. Large rocks in front of the present driveway prevents any vehicle traffic for shuttling. Use of smaller vehicles, atv's,motorbikes, and other electric or gas powered equipment at your own risk. Please mind that there is a Hiking Trail Only that splits off towards the left at the beginning of the route. For the route to Death Therapy via Spring Blvd. take a right at the split and follow the narrow dirt trail for maybe 1/4 mile. then you'll see another split which you'll turn left at and continue down another somewhat narrow trail. Wood logs are lodged into the ground where you will then head up to the the right at the bottom of Death Therapy and up about 100 yards are some of the features which would be basically the end of your Therapy Session! 2 good lines that cross each other from top to bottom. For now this is not a super popular spot but if it became more so then the beginning of the Trail can also be accessed by going straight after the first 1/4 mile from the Spring Blvd. Trail Head and around rabbit run or baby steps one or the other just look at the map once you're there! 5 hours 3 attendees | Dry | view | 5 | 3 | |||||
